Welcome to Rebound SportsMed

At Rebound SportsMed in Kent, Washington, patients receive expert, individualized care designed to restore movement, elevate performance, and improve overall well-being. Led by Dr. Gary Blackburn, the clinic blends more than three decades of hands-on experience in sports medicine, clinical neuroscience, and brain-based rehabilitation to deliver results that go beyond symptom relief. The focus is simply to identify the root cause of the problem, rebuild function, and help every patient move forward with confidence.

Dr. Blackburn’s journey began in 1986 as an Army Medic, where he developed early expertise in concussion management and performance optimization. That military foundation shaped his precise, disciplined approach to patient care. Since then, he has completed more than 3,000 hours of advanced postgraduate education, earning certifications in Clinical Neuroscience and Applied Neurology. His depth of training allows him to connect brain function with physical performance, creating targeted strategies for recovery and resilience.

Throughout his career, Dr. Blackburn has worked with athletes at the highest levels. He has served as an official team chiropractor for the Detroit Lions and as a consultant for the Detroit Tigers, bringing professional-grade expertise to every patient he treats. His experience also includes completing a sports medicine rotation with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee during the 2012 London Games, further refining his approach to elite performance care.

Recognized locally as a three-time Seattle Met “Top-Doc” and “Best of Kent” award winner, Rebound SportsMed is trusted by athletes, active adults, and individuals seeking lasting solutions to pain and dysfunction.
